Workshop for Developing Questionnaires on the Conservation Efforts and Management Strategies in AMSs, 10 — 12 September 2025, Sabak Bernam, Selangor, Malaysia.

The Workshop for Developing Questionnaire on the Pelagic Fisheries Management Strategies in the Asian Region was held from 10 to 12 September 2025 in Sabak Bernam, Selangor, with a total of 18 participants. Attendees included representatives from DOF Malaysia Headquarters, DOF Sabah, FRI Kg. Acheh, FRI Batu Maung, FRI Bintawa, resource persons from UMT, and officials from MFRDMD. The workshop was funded by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).

Participants actively contributed to the development of a questionnaire focusing on conservation efforts and management strategies for pelagic fisheries in ASEAN Member States (AMSs). The draft questionnaire is now scheduled for review and finalized by the AMSs during the upcoming Regional Technical Consultation in October 2025.
